Director Raphaël Gianelli-Meriano uses pictures of light taken in the unspoilt nature of Southern Estonia to perceive the thinking of Jaan Kaplinski, humanist, cosmopolitan, thinker, poet and key player to Estonian literature. Kaplinski is an intellectual living right in the middle of nature, sensing spirituality in the simplicity of everyday acts. To him plain things are part to an infinite development, just like humankind’s life.
“The washing never gets done.
The furnace never gets heated,
Books never get read.
Life is never completed.”'
