Seto folk singer Valli has lived in Tallinn for 40 years. She holds an office job but lives her ancestors' tradition of singing and playing music.

Valli dreams of a family reunion in her parents' house in Petserimaa, to celebrate Seto traditions. She goes hunting for her family’s roots in archives, and listens to wax-cylinder records a hundred years old: an emotional search for her identity begins.
