Homo pedalis is a human looking at the world from atop the saddle of a bicycle.

This lively documentary centres on "Tour d'ÖÖ", a huge night group ride that doubles as a convention of cyclophiles. Two cycle enthusiasts, biologist Fred Jüssi and writer/semiotician Valdur Mikita, philosophize about the bicycle in general, and the feeling of riding a bike. "Had Tibetan monks invented the bicycle, they would have used it as a meditation aid", says Valdur Mikita.
